The ClimateBasis monitoring programme gathers and accumulates data describing the climate and the hydrology in Kobbefjord. The core of the programme is four automatic measuring stations, which ensures continually collection of data.
The most important climate parameters are measured at two masts with independent energy supplies placed approximately 2 km from the inner part of the fjord.
Two hydrometric stations are placed in the area; one draining the main river of the catchment and one, which are more influenced by glacier melt, are draining a smaller part of the catchment. Furthermore the water level, and hence, the discharge are measured in three smaller rivers draining the catchment to Kobbefjord.
ClimateBasis is operated by Asiaq - Greenland Survey.
